Give Hope

Ukraine

For several years, Ukraine has been in a warzone, leaving many without basic needs such as food, water, shelter, or access to new clothing. Additionally, medical supplies are constantly dwindling due to the region’s state. We’ve pivoted our efforts heavily during these times to provide additional aid to Ukraine.

To make the most of our resources, we have a dedicated team of local volunteers who understand the region and which areas need the most support. By working with local organizations and leveraging the resources at our disposal, Giving Hope has been a strong beacon of support for those in the region requiring assistance.

To date, Giving Hope has arranged support in seven cities in Ukraine, including Kyiv, Rivne, Kherson, and Kharkiv. This includes the delivery of over 20,000 pounds of food and 200 tons of humanitarian aid supplies such as clothes, medical supplies, emergency goods, and more. With your help and the help of other supporters, thousands of refugees could receive the aid they needed to survive.

  • Biggest need was to provide basic food for people who were left in evacuated areas.
  • The population that was left behind or remained in evacuated cities were mainly people with disabilities and the elders.
  • Purchasing raw material from farmers in Western Ukraine helped us increase the volume of food we could deliver to people.
  • Volunteers in central and western Ukraine created homemade ‘ready-meals’ for people who were left in evacuated zones with no supplies.
  • Local community volunteers of all ages and abilities worked days without a break making meals for the people who were stranded without food, water, or connection.
  • Volunteers prepared anything they could from bread, baked goods, soups, canned food and hot meals delivered by the brave drivers.
  • Hundreds of drivers volunteered their vehicles, trailers to deliver the necessary supplies. Risking their live they drove tirelessly to active war zones to bring some relief for the people.
